This is a log of the things that I add to the site.

~11/21/2007~

This evening I got around to writting a blurp about the Lifehouse show at Cpt. Hiram's last week.  You can read about it here.

~11/20/2007~

This evening I uploaded a new gallery with pictures taken by Jordan Baker.  The pictures are of people and things seen at the Bret Michaels concert at The BrokenSpoke Saloon during BiketoberFest 2007.  Jordan is the son of Tom Baker who handles the lighting for me at some of my more major events.  Being a young man, Jordan is particularly interested in the young ladies around the venue.  Caution:  Some of the young ladies are somewhat less than totally discrete.  The gallery can be viewed here.

~10/30/2007~

This evening I updated the Gig News, Rally News, and Calendar Pages to reflect recent and future events.

~10/15/2007~

I have posted some pics from the Myrtle Beach Fall Rally in a new gallery here.  These pics are not divided into categories.  They include people, bikes, motorcycle art, and even a couple of plants.  I hope that you enjoy viewing them!

~10/14/2007~

I added write-ups on the Myrtle Beach fall rally on the rally blog page and the Dickey Betts/Great Southern show at Capt Hiram's on the gig blog page.

~09/30/2007~

I redid the equipment pictures page, adding one picture and collecting other pics from around the site.  I also removed the one close-up of the main stacks because it was taken at night with a flash and was not really representative of what the crowd sees if they should even look at the stacks.  Some buyers would be less than enthralled  with the cosmetics shown in that picture. The redone page can be found here.  I have also set this up so that clicking on the top picture advances to the next picture.  I have done that to all the older galleries that were built before I started using the IfranView gallery builder.  If you know about this feature it saves a lot of scrolling on the pages with multiple pictures.  The new galleries have previous/next buttons for navigation.  They load only one picture at a time, so they are a little better for dial-up connections. I tend to put up larger pictures, because I like to be able to see the detail, but this is not very friendly to dial-up users.  I probably should offer smaller versions for my dial-up friends.

~09/13/2007~

This evening I sorted through the photo archives.  I put up a bunch of pictures.  I titled the page:  family, friends, people, pets, and things.  There are a lot of pics taken at motorcycle rallies around the country over the last few years.  There are a few scans of some older prints.  If you want to get there in a hurry, click here.  Otherwise, just browse the site and you will probably get there eventually.

~09/12/2007~

I made the decisions regarding the additional galleries and uploaded and tested the links.  It seems to work seamlessly, although I now have two Gallery Index pages to maintain.  I have to remember to update the links on both pages at the same time.  If the web space was not segmented I would not have to do that, but 'free' is hard to beat.  Although the link is also in the next two posts, just so you will not have to search for it, you can get to the Gallery Index by clicking here.

~09/12/2007~

This evening I uploaded two more galleries.  I prepped an additional two but I have to decide where I can put them and the mechanics involved.  My web space is partitioned into 25 Megabyte blocks. These blocks each have a different address.  I am low on space in the block I have been using so I will need to put these galleries in another block.  Making all the linking work will be a bit more of a challenge.  The new galleries that I did put up can be found in the Gallery Index here.  There are four pictures from the Laconia rally in one gallery.  The other gallery is a photographic stroll through the gardens at the Fells, a historic estate in New Hampshire.  I visited there with my brother and his wife just before the Laconia rally.

~09/10/2007~

I have added four galleries of pictures that I took in Sturgis this year.  These galleries are in a new format.  My free photo-editor, IfranView, has an application that takes a good bit of the work out of putting up these galleries.  It was just a matter of reworking the format to match the rest of my site.  This turned out to be a bit more complicated than I had hoped.  The editor that I use for the website broke the functionality of the templates when I tried to format them.  The output of the application would not function after I tried to format the template.  I ended up downloading a stand alone html editor, HTML-Kit, to add my formatting to the template.  Automation is amazing.  It takes the program less than a second to do something that would take me days or weeks to do manually.  If you are interesting in seeing the pics the Gallery Index is here.

~09/08/2007~

I have reworked the galleries on my web site.  It is now possible to click on the top picture in the galleries and advance to the next picture.  It may be easier than using the scroll wheel or bar.  In the future, if I wish to refer to a specific picture I can do that.  If you want to check it out you can click here for the Audioart gallery index and here for the Wink Longnecker gallery index.  There are cross links below the gallery indexes to jump from one to the other.

~09/07/2007~

I got around to writting up last weekend on the gig news page today.

~09/04/2007~

I have put up an unofficial website for one of the bands with which I occasionally work.  There are pictures and a mediaplayer with music that was recorded direct to CD recently at the SBI.  If you are interested in checking it out, you can find it here.

~08/29/2007~

I have just finished writing up the Sturgis Rally on the rally news page.

~08/28/2007~

I have updated the gig news page for the time since I have been back from Sturgis.

~07/28/2007~

I have updated the gig news page to reflect the events of the past couple of days.

~07/26/2007~

This evening I updated the gig news page.  I am sure that I missed a few gigs, because it had been too long since I had updated the page and I just listed the highlights.

~07/24/2007~

I have today put up pages to view the pictures from the Motor Cycle Art Sideshow in a Gallery view.  Those with dial-up connections will appreciate this as well as those of you who would like to view individual pictures more closely.  The slide show viewer works well with FireFox, but not as intended with Internet Explorer.  I don't know how it looks in Safari or Opera or any other Web Browser you may be using, so I offer this alternative to the slide show.

~07/23/2007~

I have recently updated the Rally News page.  I also added a slide show of motorcycle art.  I am adding this page to the site to tell visitors when I make changes to the site.  I will link to this page from both the Wink Longnecker and Audioart home pages.  From here I will link to the updated pages or to the new features.
